		<description>While I agree that there is nothing inherently wrong with splitting infinitives, you seem to be forcing more of a change in your example than is actually necessary. Unless I&#039;m mistaken, you can just change the places of attend and lovingly, giving you, &quot;to attend lovingly to his sick mother.&quot; That removes the split infinitive, while still stressing the loving attention.</description>
