Happy Thanksgiving!

To all of my readers who celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you're enjoying some time with friends and family members. Since I don't eat the traditional turkey, I thought this photo would be a fitting alternative.

Here are a few of the things I'm thankful for this year:

*My health
*My friends and family
*My sweet, incredibly smart boyfriend who is helping me pick out a new computer
*The fact that I live in one my favorite cities on the planet
*My clients, most of whom pay on time
*The fact that I can make a (very decent) living doing what I love
*The Boston Public Library
*The talented German tailor who lives and works just two blocks from me
*The #55 bus (and if anyone from the MBTA is reading this, I hope that the rumors about discontinuing that route are untrue)
*My students, blog readers, and Twitter followers, who simultaneously inspire me and keep me on my toes

What are you most thankful for? I'd love to know!

I was just talking about this yesterday! It's hard to be thankful without sounding a bit smug at the moment but you're right; we should remember things aren't so bad!
I'm thankful for my family and friends being healthy and well, thankful for work (even when there're too many last-minute deadlines!), thankful for chocolate fudge cake and Baileys and finally for holidays coming soon:)

Did you MAKE that amazing cupcake Susan?! It's wonderful.

I'm thankful for so many things this year, the biggest one is having new baby and birthing her at home without assistance. You can read that story here:

Thanks, everyone!

@Jennifer: I wish I had made that cupcake, but it's actually a photo from Flickr. Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!

I had a friend who decided to have his heart attack the day after Thanksgiving. He survived. I thanked him for giving me something to be especially thankful about! So please click on my name to read the post.
