Book Release: PS What I Didn’t Say

The book’s official release date is October 1, but Amazon is already shipping copies of PS What I Didn’t Say: Unsent Letters to Our Female Friends. (My copies arrived on Friday, and I almost hugged the mailman, I was that excited!) This Seal Press anthology includes 36 letters from female authors. Some are hilarious, some are heart-breaking, but all are awesome (trust me on this). My letter to my estranged former roommate starts on page 217, but you can read an excerpt on the book’s blog.

I’m really jazzed to be included in this book alongside such fabulous female writers as Michelle Goodman and Jacquelyn Mitchard (view the complete list of contributors for more info). And if that doesn’t convince you to buy the book, then surely this book trailer created by our fearless editor Megan will seal the deal.

    Thanks, Chantal!

  3. Lori says:

Susan, great excerpt! And what a cool project! I have a friend in particular who needs to hear something, but I know she'd never hear it even if I did say it. Sometimes the issues they have are really ours. In your case, not so much!

  4. Megan McMorris says:

yay, Susan, you're such an Internet networking master, I can learn a thing or three from you. Great to have worked together, and hope to do it in the future! Megan

  6. Kristen says:

    Hi Susan,

Congratulations on your contribution! I read your excerpt and could relate–I had a similar situation in college and it's terrible.

Out of curiosity, how did you find out about the opportunity to contribute to the project? I always see the calls for the usual stuff like Chicken Soup for the Soul, etc. but never see things for cool projects like this one!

  7. Susan Johnston says:

Thanks, Kristen! In this case, the publisher (Seal Press) announced the call for submissions on their website, and I heard about it through Hell or High Water Writer, which is written by friend Beth. She does a great job of finding writing opportunities around the web.

  8. Erin Skelly Cameron says:

This looks great – I can't wait to read it!

And if there's ever a sequel, I have a letter of my own I would like to include!

  9. Damaria Senne says:

congrats on your contribution, Susan. Great excerpt.

  10. ExpertWriter says:
